What is the research study about?
We’re currently running many fun studies including: how children collaborate with a social partner and why infants persist at a task, even when it is hard. Our studies involve games, picture stories and puzzles that your child will LOVE!
How old does my child have to be?
We currently have in-person studies for kids 1 to 10-year olds.
How long is this study?
You’ll be scheduled for a 1-hour appointment, though the studies itself should take no more than 30 minutes.
Is there compensation for participating?
Yes! We’ll be offering a $10 Amazon or Indigo gift card to parents as a thank-you gift. Your child will also get a fun goody-bag with toys and his/her own personalized UofT certificate!

Can siblings and family members come along?
Yes, siblings are more than welcome! However we ask that you let us know ahead of time, so we can plan for additional supervision.
If you provide us with the age range of the sibling, we may have a study for them to participate in as well.
Do you offer parking?
Yes, we offer parents FREE parking for the duration of time you spend in the lab.
Can I take public transit?
Yes, we are about a 5-minute walk from St. George Station. You can also take the 506 College streetcar and get off at Beverley St which is also a 5-minute walk. You will also receive TTC reimbursement for your visit here.
Does my child need to know English in order to participate?
Yes, since we will be asking a few short questions in English to your child, we do ask that they are exposed to at least 50% English.
